Loc process/ tips

Starter Locs

Budding phase

Budding phase

This is the beginning of the journey. These locs will be skinny, tightly coiled spirals.  Keep hair oiled and moisturized to prevent damage in this phase.

Budding phase

“Budding is when the hair in dreadlocks begins to mat and swell. Those who are new to dreadlocks may see budding as a problem that needs to be fixed, but it is a natural and necessary part of the locking process.”

Shooting phase

Contracting phase

Your locs will remain in this phase the longest until they are fully mature. In this phase the locs will began to interlock and matte.  Continue to oil and moisturize your scalp.

Contracting phase

This is when your locs are matured and completely interlocked. The locs should feel solid, tight and uniform. Continue to oil and moisturize your scalp. Your hair will continue to get longer and the journey will continue. Be patience and enjoy your loc journey!

Properly Remove Individual Eyelashes

Removing Individual EyeLashes

  • Wash your face and use your makeup remover (if needed) to thoroughly cleanse your face.
  • To loosen the lashes stand over a bowl of steaming water to help soften the adhesive.

  • Then dip a q-tip in an oil solution... ex: coconut oil, olive oil, baby oil and gently wipe the oil that’s on q-tip on your lash line/ where adhesive is.

CAUTION

Avoid rubbing,  picking at, pulling or twisting the eyelashes... this can cause damage to your real eyelashes.
